Structure of crystal

(2010) Print on tracing paper, adhesive.
Variable dimensions

La structure du cristal is a photograph that represents what is left of Crystal Palace, that was constructed in London for the universal exposition of 1851, based on Joseph Paxton’s architectural sketches.
The same image was printed twice and those two copies were folded and hung facing each other at two corners of the exhibit venue: one on the right side and the other on the wrong side.
